April is proclaimed as Cleanup Month.  Pickens County Commissioner Chair Robert Jones signed a proclamation designating April as clean-up month.  Keep Pickens Beautiful and its national affiliate Keep America Beautiful will be working with the county and communities planning cleanup projects for their area.  KPB would like to encourage the residents of Pickens County to take in part the countywide cleanup during April.  Cleanup events are planned throughout April and will be announced in the Pickens Progress, Know Pickens and on KPB Web page and FaceBook.

If your group or family is planning to do a special clean up or an event for Earth Day please let KPB know so we can recognize your efforts.   Keep Pickens Beautiful Adopt A Road Volunteers will be picking up their assigned roadways during April.  KPB would like to thank all those who took part in last year’s GAC and encourage you to continue this work in 2019.  Be part of the big picture!

If you have question or for more information on how you can be a part of Keep Pickens Beautiful, call our office at Tuesday or Thursday from 10:00 until 2:00, or leave a message at 706-253-3600, you can also go to our web page for more details about the planned public events for this year. www.keeppickensbeautiful.org.
